What is PrayCalc?
PrayCalc calculates prayer times using the PrayCalc Dynamic Method — a physics-grounded algorithm based on the NREL Solar Position Algorithm (SPA), the most accurate solar position model available for civilian use. Prayer times are computed fresh for your exact coordinates.
Calculation Methods
PrayCalc supports the Dynamic Method (default), Shafi'i/Maliki/Hanbali Asr, and Hanafi Asr. Fajr and Isha use dynamic twilight angle computation. Users can also choose from 14 traditional fixed-angle methods.
⚠️ Specific fiqh rulings on prayer time methodology are subject to scholarly review. PrayCalc follows the ahl us-sunnah wal-jama'ah consensus on the obligation and timing of the five daily prayers.
